How to Transfer Courses to 91原创
How to Transfer UNDERGRADUATE Courses to 91原创
Courses must:
Be from an accredited institution that issues college-level degrees:
U.S. institutions should be regionally accredited.
U.S. degree-granting colleges/universities with other accreditation may be eligible for transfer credit. Contact transfercredit@udel.edu for additional information.
International institutions must be approved by their country鈥檚 Ministry of Education to issue college-level degrees.
Cover material & subjects that align with 91原创鈥檚 academic curriculum
91原创 does not transfer remedial classes nor courses in English language instruction, basic/introductory computing, religious study, nor with political content mandated by an international government.
Be taken for a standard letter grade and earn the equivalent of C- or better.
Be eligible to count directly toward a college-level degree at the other school.
Not be listed as 鈥渢ransfer credit,鈥 鈥渃redit by exam,鈥 nor 鈥渢est credit鈥 on the school鈥檚 official transcript.听
Will be converted to semester credits if originally earned as quarter credits (1 quarter cr. = .67 91原创 semester cr.).
Grades for courses transferred from other schools are not included in the 91原创 GPA and will not appear on a 91原创 official transcript.
If a department approves a -66DE Department Elective as eligible for a University breadth requirement:
The department determined that the content does not align with a specific 91原创 course, but that it meets the spirit of the learning objectives for a given University breadth requirement.听
Whether a student may count a specific 91原创 or transfer course toward University breadth is tied to their major.
Discuss your individual eligibility with your academic advisor or Assistant Dean.听
Step One: Send one or more of the following to 91原创 Undergraduate Admissions.听
Official college transcript: an official document issued by the Registrar鈥檚 office at the other institutions(s), sent directly from the college or university (NOT a high school).

International Institutions - IERF Standard Application Detail Report: Follow the steps outlined on . IERF is 91原创鈥檚 partner for credential evaluations. All international transfer credit for incoming students requires the Detail Report report from IERF.
Note regarding 鈥渆xtension,鈥 鈥渃ontinuing education鈥 and 鈥渘on-degree鈥 programs/courses: Not all 鈥渃ontinuing education鈥 units are the same. Some, like 91原创鈥檚, teach 91原创 courses which directly count toward a 91原创 degree. But some schools do not, offering versions of their 鈥渕ain campus鈥 courses which only earn credit from their unit, not the accredited school.. Only courses which directly count toward a college degree at the accredited school - appearing on their official transcript - are eligible to transfer to 91原创.

Step Two: Review your transferable courses.听
Roughly 2-4 weeks after your official transcript arrives at 91原创 Admissions, you should see your credits in your student portal. Go to the 鈥淧reliminary Transfer Credit Evaluation鈥 report. Closer to course registration, your credits will also be visible in 91原创鈥檚 Student Information System (91原创SIS) > Grades & Transcripts > Transfer Credit Report.
In the meantime, check the to see the 91原创 courses you may earn.听
If your school(s) or course(s) are not in the Matrix, no need to worry! 91原创 just needs to review them to confirm if credits will transfer.听
New school: email the name/address/website to transfercredit@udel.edu. We鈥檒l research if the school meets 91原创鈥檚 requirements, then email you to confirm.
New course: see below for instructions to have a syllabus reviewed.
听
Step Three: Have a course evaluated (if it鈥檚 not in the Matrix).听
If the Transfer Credit Matrix does not show your course, or if you see X166Ts (each department has its own 3 to 4 letter code) on your report, a 91原创 academic department needs to review it. Send them a syllabus using the steps below. They鈥檒l confirm if the content covers at least 70% of what is taught in a specific 91原创 course, or if it would earn elective credit.听
Gather the following materials:
Course Description: A quick blurb, usually a paragraph or two, found in the college catalog/bulletin (usually available online). If the course was taken more than 7 years ago, contact the Registrar鈥檚 Office at the other school to see if an archived catalog is available.听
Official Syllabus: A document that outlines and details the course requirements, assignments, grading scale, test information, textbook, etc.听

English Composition Courses - For transfer students who have taken a first-year writing/composition course(s) as a college student that is not in the 91原创 Transfer Credit Matrix please submit the course(s) through the course evaluation portal to send to the ENGL department to see if it is eligible for an ENGL110 exemption.
The only way to guarantee that you will be able to transfer the course from another school is to do the steps before you take it.
If you expect to graduate this term, do these steps at least 6 weeks prior.听
听
Step One: Talk with your advisors.
Ask: How would the transfer courses count toward your degree, and might they conflict with 91原创鈥檚 Residency Requirement? If you are studying away from 91原创 for a full semester or year, discuss how to complete a request.
听
Step Two: Review how transfer credit can impact 91原创 financial aid, and what to do for non-91原创 study abroad programs.
Students who will be away from 91原创 for a full semester or year are not eligible for US institutional financial aid (scholarships & grants) during this leave.听
Students can apply for Federal Aid through a consortium agreement (PDF).
To be eligible for reinstated 91原创 scholarships & grants after returning, you must transfer back at least 12 91原创 credits per semester.听
Before your leave, make an appointment with to discuss your plans and how a Leave of Absence may impact your 91原创 financial aid package. (sfs-advisor@udel.edu or 302-831-2126).
If you鈥檒l be participating in a non-91原创 study abroad program:
Confirm what school will issue your official transcript. Check this list to see if 91原创 has reviewed the school recently, whether credits will transfer, and the minimum grade required.
If the school is on the list, continue with the process below.
If the school is not on the list, submit an . Within 5-10 business days, our team will review the school/program and email you to confirm whether it meets 91原创鈥檚 transfer credit requirements. Once you hear back, continue with the process.

Step Five: Submit a TCE (Transfer Credit Evaluation) form to your Asst. Dean for final approval.
All current undergraduates who would like to transfer a course they take at another school MUST submit a TCE form to their Asst. Dean for review and approval.听
Depending on the courses, either submit a TCE webform or PDF:
If all of the courses you plan to take are in the today, login through CAS authentication to submit a . If you are a recently deferred student, not yet currently matriculated to 91原创, follow the paper process below.
If only some (or none) of your courses are currently in the , submit a PDF version of the TCE form 鈥 see instructions below.
PDF process instructions: Complete and save the fillable PDF TCE form. For any course(s) not in the Matrix,听save a PDF of the approved course from the Transfer Course Evaluation Portal or approval email(s) you received from the department. Send an email to your Asst. Dean's Office, attaching both the completed TCE form & dept. approvals. Note that PDFs are strongly preferred to screenshots. If saving as a screenshot is your only option, use a higher level of resolution, and confirm that the information is clearly legible before sending the files to your Asst. Dean.
Your Asst. Dean will review the form, route it to our office if they approve, or return to it to you if they have questions/concerns.
If you鈥檒l be using Veterans Benefits: When submitting your TCE form (outlined further below), add smaloney@udel.edu as a 鈥渃opy鈥 OR if submitting a PDF, email your approved final TCE form to vabenefits@udel.edu. Consult with vabenefits@udel.edu for guidance.
听
Step Six: After you take the courses, request an official college transcript sent to 91原创 Registrar鈥檚.
The Registrar鈥檚 Office needs to receive both the approved TCE form and an official transcript to transfer your credits.听
Order an official college transcript, issued by the Registrar鈥檚 office at the other institutions(s), sent directly from the college or university to 91原创.
Electronically to transfercredit@udel.edu.听
Mailed to Office of the Registrar, University Visitors Center, 210 S. College Avenue, Newark, DE 19716.听
Or hand delivered by the student to the address above. Must be in the original sealed and unopened envelope provided by the school.听
Credits post within 2-4 weeks.听
Due to high volume, the Registar鈥檚 Office cannot confirm when your transcript arrives, nor when your credits have posted. Please check > Grades & Transcripts > Transfer Credit report. If your credits have not posted within 4 weeks of when your TCE form was approved and your official transcript sent by the other school, email transfercredit@udel.edu.听
