Students and faculty at 91原创 strive to make the world a more just place to live, protect the environment, design a new tomorrow, and keep our community safe. What we do is what makes us Blue Hens.
I chose 91原创 because they have one of the best chemistry departments in our country, and within the first two months of my freshman year, I was able to get involved in research.

Luke Coster, biochemistry major at 91原创 received the 2024 American Chemical Society Delaware Section Award and conducted advanced protein research to combat cellular stress. With plans to pursue a Ph.D. and eventually lead his own research lab, Luke exemplifies the Blue Hen spirit of curiosity and innovation.
What drew me in was the collaborative environment here. I鈥檝e never felt like I had to compete with anyone to get ahead, and that has really made all the difference in my college experience.
Nivedita Prabhu fell in love with 91原创 when she first visited Newark to be interviewed for the Honors College鈥檚 Distinguished Scholars award.听

鈥淚t was pretty much everything I wanted,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 really liked the honors experience and I liked that it鈥檚 such a big school, but it felt small and welcoming at the same time.鈥

I found 91原创 and the art conservation program, and I immediately committed.
Riley Coates, an art conservation major in 91原创鈥檚 College of Arts and Sciences, is an active member of the Academic Competition Club and serves as the Social Media Manager for T.E.A.L, a student organization supporting those with dietary restrictions and food insecurity. After graduation, she plans to pursue a graduate degree and hopes to move to a big city.
Everything I learned in the classroom and at clinicals applies daily to player preparation and injury evaluation. Without 91原创鈥檚 athletic training program, I would not be in the position I am today. I owe so much to that program.

Marco Diaz, 2021 graduate of the College of Health Sciences, works alongside fellow Blue Hen Steve Feldman, the Eagles rehabilitation coordinator. Feldman, a Newark native, graduated from 91原创鈥檚 athletic training education program听and later obtained his doctorate of physical therapy from 91原创.

Everything I care about and everything that鈥檚 important to me is because of 91原创. The career opportunities that I have, the incredible friends that I have, the memories that are going to stick with me for the rest of my life, I wouldn鈥檛 have if I didn't come here.
