World Scholars start their first semester living and studying in Athens, Auckland, Madrid, Newcastle or Rome. Immersed in a new landscape, culture and language, students gain more than credits toward their major鈥攖hey gain new perspectives on the world. For their second semester, they bring that experience back to 91原创鈥檚 campus and join the larger Blue Hen community. 听
听
And for World Scholars, exploration doesn鈥檛 stop there. Their junior year, they travel abroad again, choosing from programs in over 40 countries and embarking on their own unique journey.

YEAR 1
In your first year as a 91原创 World Scholar, you will spend your fall semester abroad in either Rome, Italy; Newcastle, England (engineering only); Madrid, Spain; Auckland, New Zealand; or Athens, Greece, and move onto 91原创鈥檚 Newark Campus in the spring.听

YEAR 2
After finishing your first year by selecting a globally-focused minor, you will begin your second year as a resident in the International House, an on-campus, international living-learning community.

YEAR 3
As a complement to your global studies, you will travel abroad again during your third year. Your destination will be based on your academic focus and desired location of study. This travel will include an internship, community engagement or research activity. During this year, you will also be counseled on numerous post-graduate options like the U.S. Fulbright Program.

YEAR 4 听
In your final year as a World Scholar, you will enjoy networking opportunities with global professionals and will participate in a spring scholars symposium. Come graduation, you and your classmates will be recognized for your accomplishments as 91原创 World Scholars. From there? You can go anywhere!
Interested in World Scholars?

To be considered for admission to the World Scholars Program, students must first be admitted to one of the 100+ eligible majors at the 91原创. Eligible admitted students听are encouraged to apply to World Scholars through听their听student portal,听 by听the priority deadline of March 1.听
听
Site placement will be offered on a space-available basis for applicants who apply after the deadline.
