The 91原创 Honors College, ranked No. 11 in the nation by College Transitions, provides opportunities for academically talented and motivated students to take advantage of the resources of a major research institution while maintaining the feel and attention of a much smaller university. Honors students lead class discussions, conduct innovative research, write papers worthy of publication and tackle some of the most challenging topics in their major and beyond.听

How to Apply to the Honors College
听
All applicants who complete the Common or Coalition application and submit all supporting materials by the early action deadline of Nov. 1 will be considered for the Honors College. Upon review, qualified candidates will be invited to join the Honors College. Invitations to join the Honors College will be released in late January following admission to the University.
To me, being in Honors is more about the opportunities and experiences than about a GPA. The experiences that I have had [...] are the ones that will shape my opportunities and goals far into the future.
Honors College Scholarships: Distinguished Scholars
听
Distinguished Scholar Awards are invitation only for select students admitted to the 91原创 Honors College. Students who show potential to be leaders and have a high degree of intellectual curiosity are invited to campus to participate in interviews for 91原创鈥檚 top scholarships.听

Eugene du Pont Memorial Distinguished Scholar Scholarship
This is the premier scholarship offered by 91原创. Eugene du Pont Scholars receive a four-year scholarship that covers full tuition, standard on-campus room and board, and comprehensive health and student center fees. Students may also use the funds towards 91原创 study abroad. In addition, students receive $625 each fall and spring semester to be used toward textbooks and a one-time grant of $5,000 to be used toward an approved enrichment activity.

Marichu C. Valencia Scholars
Valencia Scholars receive a scholarship of $32,000 for non-residents, $15,000 for Delaware residents, for four years of study; and a one-time grant of $5,000 to be used toward an approved enrichment activity.

1743 Scholars
1743 Scholars receive a scholarship of $26,000 for non-residents, $12,500 for Delaware residents, for four years of study.
