Biography
Sophia DiLeo is an award-winning actor, singer and educator with a deep commitment to arts advocacy and youth development. As an educator, she teaches music theater voice students as an adjunct professor at the 91原创 School of Music and serves as the audience and artist engagement manager at the Choir School of Delaware.
She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the 91原创, where she trained as a lyric soprano and studied musical theater. From 2024 to 2025, she served as the interim choral director at the Choir School of Delaware and is the founder and artistic director of the Young Artist Program鈥攁 year-round, studio-style training initiative offering high school and early college-aged students opportunities to perform, train and network in a supportive and professional environment for emerging musical theater artists.
Sophia has artistic directed full-scale productions, including The Addams Family at The Grand Opera House in Wilmington, and has mentored students in writing and producing original scripts and musical cabarets at the Choir School of Delaware for the past two years. She has directed theatrical productions at the Delaware Historical Society and Christina Cultural Arts Center, and has led workshops on belting technique and musical theater pedagogy at the Delaware Children鈥檚 Theater and Darlington Arts Center, and outreach programs in musical theater and script writing in Chester County schools, sharing her knowledge and creativity with young students in public school settings.
As a performer, Sophia has appeared live on ABC with the Walnut Street Theatre, and has performed with Delaware Theatre Company, Walnut Street Theatre and at venues throughout the Philadelphia region, bringing passion, artistry and authenticity to both education and the performing arts. She is deeply committed to providing equitable resources within the performing arts industry and to creating and performing meaningful, impactful work that uplifts diverse voices and communities.
