Biography

91Ô­´´ jazz and classical guitar instructor Dave Bozenhard is a multi-faceted guitarist and teacher. Mr. Bozenhard received his Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance under Christiaan Taggart at the 91Ô­´´. He settled in Philadelphia where he later re​​ceived a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of the Arts, and he has since taught and performed in many musical styles and settings. 

As a freelance musician/guitarist, over the years Mr. Bozenhard has worked and/or recorded wi​​th singer songwriter Lili Añel, acoustic chamber ensemble One Alternative, jazz fusion bands Mars Apes and Fusionhaus, contemporary big band Slowbern, and various wedding/jazz/rock/blues bands.

In recent years Mr. Bozenhard has been selected as composer-in-residence for a run of performances with Red Cedar Chamber Music in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; perfo​rmed with Opera Philadelphia on the world premiere of the critically acclaimed debut of the modern opera Breaking the Waves; and has commissioned new works for flute and classical guitar, as well as solo classical guitar, from Philadelphia-based composer Norman David. When away from the guitar, Mr. Bozenhard is enjoying life with his wife and three young sons, living in the Philadelphia suburbs. ​
