What is a Stellic concern?
听
A Stellic Concern is a mechanism for faculty to share an academic or financial concern about a student. Stellic Concerns have preset Templates to make the process easier for faculty to share Concern details. Stellic Concern Templates include Absence, Drop in Performance, Financial, Off Track, Other.
How to Submit a Stellic Concern

After watching the video, follow the written steps below when submitting your Stellic Concern.听
1.听Login to Stellic and click the blue 鈥Quick Actions鈥 drop-down in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
听
2.听Click 鈥Concern鈥 and select 鈥Use a Template鈥 to leverage pre-filled Concern options. Stellic Concern Templates include Absence, Drop in Performance, Financial, Off Track, Other
听
3.听After selecting the applicable Stellic Concern Template, click the blue 鈥淯se this template鈥 button
听
4.听Input the student鈥檚 name or 91原创ID
听
5. If applicable, edit/update听 the Note textbox with any additional context or information
Details about a student鈥檚 mental health, medical information, or any other personally sensitive should never be added in Stellic听
Note: The Severity level of the Stellic Concern is not to communicate an emergency but rather it is a way to help the 91原创 staff member supporting the student to understand how to prioritize your feedback听

6. Click 鈥Save鈥!
Upon submitting the Stellic Concern, the area receiving the Stellic Concern will reach out to the student. It is up to the student to respond and follow through on appropriate next steps. At times, the receiving area may update notes in Stellic, but, in general, after clicking Save, the issuer is no longer involved in the specifics of the Stellic Concern.听
What To Do
Use Stellic Concerns for student situations that are NOT time sensitive or urgent听
Include who you are - for example,听鈥渢his student has not attended ECON 101 classes鈥 or 鈥渢his student has not turned in any CHEM 103 assignments鈥
Provide context for area receiving the Stellic Concern - for example,听鈥渁ttendance is mandatory and this student has already missed 5 courses鈥
What NOT To Do
Do NOT use the Stellic Concerns system for urgent, sensitive matters
Do NOT include any mention of a mental health or medical condition
Do NOT include personally-sensitive information about a student
听
