Resources are available to assist graduate students who experience financial hardships or mental health issues. These resources are listed below.
Financial Hardship
Graduate College Emergency Loans - The Graduate College offers emergency loans of up to $1,000 to graduate students in need. This program requires students to be on 91Ô´´'s payroll so that the loan can be repaid via deductions from future earnings. To apply, email grad@udel.edu.
91Ô´´â€™s Student Crisis Fund – 91Ô´´â€™s Student Crisis Fund supports eligible students who face a serious financial hardship due to unanticipated crisis. Situations are considered on a case-by-case basis and may eliminate unforeseen barriers to students’ persistence at 91Ô´´ such as food or home insecurity, travel costs related to a sudden death or illness in the immediate family, out-of-pocket medical costs, or replacement of personal belongings due to fire, natural disaster, or theft.

Blue Hen Bounty Food Pantry - is a student-run food pantry that provides supplemental nutrition to all 91Ô´´ students in need of this support. Blue Hen Bounty is located at St. Thomas's Episcopal Church at 276 South College Avenue and is open by appointment Monday-Thursday 9-12 pm.
Special Support for International Students - International students and scholars can seek financial assistance in the form of emergency assistance funds, local food aid support and free/discounted services. Please note that international students should not apply for or receive certain public benefits from federal, state, county or local public service agencies, as doing so may jeopardize your non-immigrant status in the U.S.
Special Support from Academic Programs – Some 91Ô´´ academic programs offer program-specific emergency grants/funding. For additional information, contact the director of your program of study.

Mental Health
91Ô´´â€™sÌýCenter for Counseling & Student DevelopmentÌý(CCSD) is a nationally accredited counseling center and the University’s central hub for student mental health support. CCSD provides walk-in crisis services and delivers a range of mental health services including short-term, goal-directed counseling, group therapy and programming, and psychiatric evaluation and medication management for selected mental health concerns. CCSD assists students in navigating on‑ and off‑campus resources, provides confidential consultation to parents, faculty and staff, and conducts outreach and training to a variety of stakeholders. CCSD is staffed by an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals and hosts a robust, nationally accredited training program for emerging clinicians. Our staff specialize in the mental health and developmental needs of students in emerging adulthood.
CCSD partners with TimelyCare, 91Ô´´â€™s 24/7/365 virtual mental health support service. All 91Ô´´ students (including part‑time, full-time, professional, graduate and undergraduate students) have access to 24/7 virtual mental health care through TimelyCare.ÌýStudents can connect with licensed counselors on demand or schedule routine appointments with a provider of their choice. Most students are matched with a professional within minutes when using the 24/7 support option, or they can browse providers and book a scheduled session at their convenience.ÌýFaculty and staff consultation is available 24/7 by calling 1-833-4-TIMELY.
