Care Coordination

The Center for Counseling and Student Development (CCSD) strives to address the mental health needs of students, whether those are best served by one of our clinicians or an outside provider.听

Our Care Coordinators are available for students and their families who would like support connecting with mental health services including individual counseling, medication management or specialty care.

CCSD may refer a student off campus if, in the clinician鈥檚 judgment, the student鈥檚 needs fall beyond the scope of our services.

Newark Campus

The Care Coordinator will work with you to assess your needs and preferences for off campus providers. In addition to helping you find the right provider for you, they can also support you with making your appointments, navigating your insurance coverage and overcoming barriers to care. With your permission, family members can be involved in this process.

Once you鈥檝e established care with your new provider, the Care Coordinator will follow up with you to ensure a good fit and that all your questions have been addressed.

Flex Pathways听Program

Two licensed clinical social workers serve as Embedded Mental Health Clinicians for Flex Pathway students. They provide mental health treatment, counseling and outreach services to students on the Wilmington, Dover and Georgetown campuses.
