James Adkins, Director

James is currently a scientist with the Carvel Center. His 91原创 journey began in 1999 after working for the University of Maryland. James joined Cooperative Extension as an engineer working on vegetable harvest mechanization. Over time, his responsibilities grew to include irrigation design and managing the college鈥檚 Warrington Irrigation Research Farm. In 2009, James transitioned to a research role as an Associate Scientist and Irrigation Engineer. He has led the college鈥檚 Precision Agriculture Team and Irrigation Research Team. Since 2023, James has also served as Co-Leader for Cooperative Extension鈥檚 Agricultural Program.
