Master Gardeners (MGs) offer garden advice at home to New Castle County homeowners from April through October (weather/availability dependent).听

Since 2005, MGs have provided advice to hundreds of New Castle County homeowners to meet their landscape and garden challenges. This seasonal service is offered by experienced, trained MG volunteers who address homeowners鈥 questions and problems ranging from establishing a vegetable garden, renovating lawns, refurbishing and enhancing landscapes, and using sustainable horticulture practices to support pollinators and birds, minimize maintenance, and select appropriate plants. Clients learn how their gardening practices can connect their landscapes to the ecosystem in which they live.

What homeowners are saying

鈥淭ime and care spent on reviewing each bed. Very precise, helpful suggestions on what to plant, what to delete.鈥

鈥淗elped me understand what I had and develop a maintenance plan going forward.鈥

鈥淎ll of my questions were answered and they were patient with my lack of knowledge. The time spent was also great!鈥

鈥淛ust having an expert really listen to me, offer suggestions and advice was so helpful, fun and educational.鈥
