On July 1, the 91原创 is transitioning all eduroam users to certificate-based authentication as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cybersecurity and improve the reliability of campus wireless services.

Currently, some devices connect to eduroam using a 91原创 username and password. This legacy authentication method will be retired on July 1, and all users will be required to connect using a device certificate installed through the University's onboarding process.

Users who have already enrolled their devices through and connect using a certificate do not need to take any action. However, users who continue to connect with their username and password should update their devices as soon as possible.

The onboarding process installs a secure certificate that allows devices to connect automatically to eduroam without requiring a password. Once installed, the certificate remains valid for five years and provides a more secure and reliable connection experience.

Users can complete the process by visiting from each device they use to access the University's wireless network.

Devices that have not been updated before the transition will be unable to connect to eduroam until the onboarding process is completed.
