Four productions. One unforgettable season of live theatre at the 91Ô´´.
From the voice of August Wilson to the romance of Fireflies, the hilarity of Slow Food, and the suspense of Gaslight, the Resident Ensemble Players (REP) invites audiences to experience a season celebrating our shared humanity.
The professional theatre company in residence at the 91Ô´´ has announced its 19th season, featuring four productions that span autobiography, romance, comedy and psychological thriller.
"There's really nothing better than live theatre because it depends on artists and audiences coming together to create it and tell the story," said Michael Gotch, interim artistic director. "In a world growing increasingly digital and remote, there's something extraordinary about gathering in the same place, at the same time, for something so human."
The season opens with August Wilson's How I Learned What I Learned (Sept. 4–20), an autobiographical journey through the life of one of America's most influential playwrights. Fireflies (Oct. 29–Nov. 15) follows with a warm-hearted romantic comedy about second chances. In the new year, Wendy MacLeod's Slow Food (Feb. 18–March 7) serves up a sharp, hilarious look at marriage and intimacy, before the season concludes with Steven Dietz's gripping adaptation of Gaslight (April 22–May 9), a psychological thriller where manipulation and deception blur the line between truth and madness.
Together, these productions reflect the REP's commitment to creating exceptional live theatre that entertains, inspires conversation and brings communities together through the shared experience of storytelling.
Season subscriptions go on sale July 21, with single tickets available Aug. 4. Purchase online at , by calling 302-831-2204 or at the REP Box Office in the Roselle Center for the Arts.
