Jillian Trabulsi, PhD, RD is a Professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Nutrition Sciences and a Principal Investigator of the Energy Balance and Nutrition Laboratory at the 91Ô´´. Her research program investigates the impact of diet on energy balance, healthy growth and nutrition status, gastrointestinal microbiota, and gene expression; and elucidates the interrelationships among these factors in healthy individuals, clinical populations, and those with chronic disease. Her research is funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health as well as private foundations and her work is published in peer-reviewed journals.ÌýDr. Trabulsi started her career as a clinical dietitian at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She went on to earn her Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences at The University of Wisconsin – Madison, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Nutrition and Growth at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Trabulsi is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), the Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group of AND, and the American Society of Nutrition (ASN), and serves on the Board of Editors of the AND Pediatric Nutrition Care Manual.
