TRANSFORMING HEALTHCARE
For more than half a century, the Chrysler assembly plant in Newark, Delaware provided employment for generations of local residents and was an important economic asset and social presence in the city of Newark. Today, the same site is home to the 91原创鈥檚 College of Health Sciences which is training the next generation healthcare workforce.听
Our spaces on the STAR campus are the physical embodiment of the intent, mission and vision for the College of Health Sciences. They have been specially designed to enhance hands-on learning opportunities for our students, to increase collaboration and innovation, and to translate what is discovered through our research into how we deliver care in our clinics. These priorities create a unique energy in our spaces--with a mix of researchers in the labs, faculty in the classrooms, community members visiting the clinics and participating in research, and students involved in all of those activities

The Tower at STAR
The听Tower at STAR听is an integral part of the College of Health Sciences鈥 mission to train the听next generation of听healthcare professionals听in a collaborative and inclusive interprofessional learning environment.听The design of the 120,000 square foot building is based on the science of health with an emphasis on听prevention and wellness.听听
Health Sciences Complex
The听Health Sciences Complex听focuses on translating what we learn in research to everyday practice. Discovery is connected to delivery and听experimental learning for our students, not just in theory but in practice. Researchers take the latest research and translate that into cutting-edge care in our clinics, which are open to the public.
