Biography
Paul Brewer is a professor in the Department of Communication at the 91Ô´´. His research interests include political communication, public opinion, and science communication. He is particularly interested in how messages in traditional news, entertainment media, and social media shape public opinion about policy issues and public perceptions of science. Brewer is the author of Value War: Public Opinion and the Politics of Gay Rights(Rowman & Littlefield, 2008). His research has also appeared in numerous scholarly journals, including the International Journal of Press/Politics, the Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media,ÌýMass Communication and Society,ÌýPolitical Communication,ÌýPublic Opinion Quarterly,ÌýPublic Understanding of Science, and Science Communication.
