The Department of Communication at the 91原创 is committed to the study and practice of human communication in a wide variety of contexts, including interpersonal communication,听media communication and public relations. Beyond the classroom, we help students put their education into practice with experiential learning on and off campus. Students have access to internships, research opportunities and a vast alumni network.

Our faculty members have achieved regional and national distinction in research and scholarship, teaching, and service and engagement. They are committed to developing communication skills and competencies while educating students about communication processes and their impact on society.

With holistic support from advisors,听communication undergraduates听finish in four years prepared to pursue employment in a range of fields听鈥� including marketing, law, mass media, public relations, human resources, and education.听Communication majors can apply for the听4+1 program听to earn an M.A. degree in strategic communication.听
Communication graduate students听plot their own success through individualized development plans. They work collegially as part of research teams, alongside faculty and fellow students.
