Biography
Amy Bleakley is a professor in the Department of Communication at the 91Ô´´. She researches media effects on health behaviors, particularly among adolescents, the development and evaluation of theory-based health messaging, and various topics pertaining to youth and media. Her work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She has published in top public health and communication journals, including the American Journal of Public Health,ÌýAmerican Journal of Preventive Medicine,ÌýPediatrics,ÌýJournal of Sex Research,ÌýJournal of Adolescent Health, Health Communication, and the Journal of Health Communication.
