The 91原创 has the distinction of having the first doctoral and master's degrees in the combined fields of energy and environmental policy (ENEP) in the United States. The Biden School's ENEP, a STEM program,鈥 has earned international recognition as one of the three best graduate programs in the field.
The interdisciplinary ENEP degrees are administered with the support of six schools and colleges at the University: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Arts and Science, Biden School, Business and Economics, Engineering, and Earth, Ocean and Environment. The degrees are intended for individuals who wish to focus their graduate programs on interdisciplinary energy and environmental policy studies.

- GRE test scores are an optional requirement for admission to the MEEP program.
- The Biden School听accepts the minimum English proficiency test scores listed in the Graduate Admissions Test scores section.
The 91原创 Graduate College and the Biden School cannot waive fees solely based on financial hardship.

Biden School Application Fee Waivers:听If you do not meet Graduate College criteria for an application fee waiver, then you may be eligible for a fee waiver through the Biden School.听
Waivers are granted based on the Biden School goals below:
- Recognizing exceptional student achievement and merit.
- Increasing social mobility by supporting first-generation college students.
- Expanding the diversity of our student body by encouraging applicants who bring unique perspectives shaped by life experiences.
- Expanding our cultural and experiential diversity by enrolling individuals with significant work experience, applied expertise, international perspectives, or military service.
Our graduate application system is designed to put you in control of not only the application but all documents associated with it. We have designated areas within the application where each required document should be uploaded.听Please note that the online MPA program requires two years of professional experience.
You鈥檒l need:
- A completed听online application
- A bachelor鈥檚 degree from an accredited four-year university
- A current r茅sum茅
- Unofficial copies of your transcripts (we鈥檒l need official versions once you鈥檙e admitted)
- Letters of recommendation:听You provide names and email addresses for your recommenders, and recommendation forms are emailed directly to them from the online application. Instructions are included as to how to return the completed forms electronically. You can submit your application before your letters of recommendation are complete.
