91原创鈥檚 Study Abroad Fair will share information about upcoming study abroad programs and on-campus global education opportunities
Blue Hens are no stranger to global learning experiences. In the past year, 91原创 students have had the opportunity to study , , and . With over 100 different programs offered each year in 40 different countries, there is an international experience that fits every student鈥檚 personal interests and professional goals.
For senior Michael Rimbey, this perfect fit was the . In just one month, Rimbey experienced the island鈥檚 most scenic views, immersed himself in the country鈥檚 culture, and most notably assisted in a local primary school classroom.
鈥淚t was heartwarming to have them grab you by the arm and begin showing you around the school,鈥 Rimbey, who documented his travels on the , said. 鈥淭he community in Saint James has been extremely welcoming, and I am leaving the island feeling as though it is my home away from home.鈥澛
The Center for Global Programs and Services (CGPS) encourages students to discover their home away from home at the annual Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 10. During the event, students are invited to Trabant University Center from 2 to 4 p.m. to learn about upcoming winter, spring, and summer study abroad programs. Faculty directors, CGPS staff, study abroad partners, and Study Abroad Ambassadors - students who have studied abroad previously - will be on hand to answer questions. In addition, students can enjoy free 91原创airy ice cream, while exploring options for financial support and uncovering new ways to internationalize their undergraduate experience right on campus.
Global education has been a long-standing tradition at the 91原创 for the past century. Since hosting the nation鈥檚 first for-credit study abroad program in 1923, this tradition has expanded to include immersive semester-long programs and condensed summer and winter sessions abroad.听
With the September 20 program application deadline just around the corner, the Study Abroad Fair serves as a last call for students interested in studying abroad before next summer. Currently, there are 16 different programs still accepting applications for Winter 2025 as well as 15 semester-long programs for Spring 2025. CGPS is also accepting applications for the 11 programs taking place in Summer 2025.听
