91原创PD's Ogden earns executive-level appointment with International Association of Chiefs of Police

91原创 Police Chief Patrick Ogden was sworn in as vice president at large for the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) on Tuesday Oct. 22, during the association's annual conference in Boston.

The IACP is the world鈥檚 largest and most influential professional association for police leaders. With more than 34,000 members in over 170 countries, the IACP is a recognized leader in global policing,聽committed to advancing safer聽communities through thoughtful, progressive police leadership.聽Since 1893, the association has been serving communities by speaking out on behalf of law enforcement and advancing leadership and professionalism in policing worldwide.

Ogden is the first chief from the state of Delaware, and only the fourth university chief, ever to be elected as a member of the IACP executive board. As vice president at large, he will serve a three-year term and be assigned to oversight positions for various committees, sections and advisory groups for programs and services of the association.

Previously Ogden served the IACP as an appointed member of the board of directors, a member of the firearms committee, chair of the university/college police section and as the State Association of Chiefs of Police (SACOP) representative for the state of Delaware. He also served the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) as president from 2021-22 and the Delaware Association of Chiefs of Police (DACP) as president from 2019-24.聽
