Certificate Programs

Our certificate programs help participants build core skills, deepen role鈥憇pecific knowledge, and gain confidence in areas such as change management, strategic communications, administrative effectiveness and financial operations.

This foundational certificate聽helps employees聽build essential competencies that strengthen effectiveness and success across all roles.

Learn聽best practices in office management, customer service,聽and聽reference resources聽for operational contacts and聽additional聽training.

Gain a high-level understanding of聽the University鈥檚聽funding sources and expenditures, annual budget process,聽and聽financial departments and systems.

Become a JED-I Master of the crucial JED Web Form.听Successful completion of this training earns聽new聽users聽access聽to聽initiate聽JED Web Forms.

Leadership and Management Development

Leaders and managers have access to group and individual development experiences that help strengthen and expand their leadership abilities.

Monthly Manager Meetups blend focused learning with peer discussion, giving managers space to build skills together and learn from one another.听Meetups are open to new, experienced, and aspiring managers across the University and take place twice a month for one hour in both virtual and in鈥憄erson formats.听Sample topics include goal setting, delegation, feedback, and handling difficult conversations.

New and aspiring managers will learn strategies and concepts that support a successful transition into management. Topics include productive leadership, performance management, delegation, and more.

Newly hired or newly promoted managers are required to complete the certificate within the first six months of entering their role.

Our professional coaching program provides a collaborative partnership that helps leaders strengthen their effectiveness. Through inquiry, reflection, and goal鈥憇etting, coaching supports leaders in building self鈥慳wareness, taking purposeful action, and navigating challenges. The process includes an intake to assess alignment and readiness, followed by聽an initial聽goal鈥憇etting session and ongoing sessions tailored to each leader鈥檚 needs.听

This program is a year-long leadership experience for mid-level leaders who are ready to expand their influence and prepare for their next step. Through eight-immersive, full-day sessions across the academic year, participants will deepen their strategic capacity, strengthen their leadership identity, and build the skills required to lead at the next level. The program offers a transformative, cohort-based experience that builds community, accelerates growth, and prepares leaders to shape the future of the university.
