Women & Gender Studies students are involved with organizations across the 91原创 campus. Highlights of student organization activities are noted below.

V-Day at 91原创听joins efforts with members听of SAGE to bring a voice to feminist issues听on the 91原创鈥檚 campus. In March, V-Day hosts听the annual Vagina听Monologues, co-sponsored by听Haven, M@N, SAGE, VOX, and speQtrum. Written听by V-Day鈥檚 founder Eve听Ensler, the play听brings together female identified students to听perform women鈥檚 monologues on sexuality,听love, strength and social justice, with proceeds going to support听Natasha's Justice Project.

During the听Fall semester, V-day holds one of their most听popular sex-positive听events, Big-O-Bingo,听the proceeds going to support Natasha鈥檚听Justice Project. V-Day has also hosted the annual LMFAO (Laughing My Feminist A** Off), a feminist comedy night.

Sexual Offense Support (SOS)听is an on-campus group that offers support and resources to survivors of sexual assault. In October, SOS hosts their annual 5K, Glow for Hope, at the 91原创 Green. Volunteers and community members joined in a fun night, raising money and awareness for the issues of sexual assault and intimate partner violence.

Students Acting for Gender听Equality听(SAGE) hosts the annual听鈥淭ake Back the Night鈥 event in April. This event aims听to shatter the silence around sexual assault,听bringing students and survivors together听for a march around campus and speak out.听In November, SAGE partners with POW听(Promoters of Wellness) for the annual听鈥淟ove Your Body Day鈥 event at the Little听Bob. SAGE meetings provide a safe space听for students to share their experiences with听gender issues on and off campus.鈥

Haven听is the 91原创鈥檚 largest Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning (LGBTQ+) RSO, using the plus symbol to emphasize that identity is not limited to these six labels. Their meetings and events are geared towards members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies, all, including but not limited to students and faculty of the 91原创, are welcome. In Spring, they听host the Second Chance Prom and Spring Drag Show.

PPGA (Planned Parenthood Generation Action): PPGA听members volunteer their time in September at the Planned Parenthood Annual Chocolate and Champagne Festival and Silent Auction in Wilmington, DE. PPGA听also has regular kiosks at the 91原创 Trabant University Student Center, where they give out information about healthy sexuality. PPGA听has co-sponsored V-Day鈥檚 event Big-O-Bingo and co-hosted Planned Parenthood for Men with M@N.

Men Active in Societal & Cultural Change听(MASCC) strives,听鈥渢o educate our community by bringing听various programs to the 91原创 campus, from听reaching out to Greek life, to just having听discussions as a group about the various ways听we see and feel gender roles and violence.鈥澨齈ast President Harry Lewis听and Advisor Jo Sampson attended the听conference, 鈥淪ports Culture: Advancing听Its Role in Domestic Violence and Sexual听Assault Prevention,鈥 in Charlotte, North听Carolina, where they met Jennifer Seibel听Newsom, the director of the documentary听The Mask You Live In, which focused on听the struggle of boys and young men to听stay true to themselves while negotiating听America鈥檚 narrow definition of masculinity. MASCC has also hosted a panel on听Masculinity in Politics and Pop Culture.听
