Biography

Michael previously has been seen at the REP as Jesus in the World Premiere of Theresa Rebeck's聽O Beautiful, Tom in聽The Glass Menagerie,听 Elyot in聽Private Lives, Lenny in聽The Homecoming, Biff in聽Death of a Salesman聽and Marlow in聽She Stoops to Conquer, among others.聽 He co-directed聽Dancing at Lughnasa, as well as played Michael, and also opened the REP鈥檚 2009-2010 season in the one-person show,听I Am My Own Wife.

聽Before joining the REP, Michael worked at many of the country鈥檚 leading theatres.聽 Past productions include Milwaukee Repertory Theatre鈥檚 World Premiere of Jeffrey Hatcher鈥檚聽Armadale听补苍诲听I Am My Own Wife. Off-Broadway credits include the U.S. Premiere of聽Sjvek聽(Theatre for a New Audience),听Richard III,听Murder By Poe聽(The Acting Company),听Mercadet聽(Culture Project).

聽His regional credits include Algernon in聽The Importance of Being Earnest聽(South Coast Repertory); Salieri in聽Amadeus聽(Actors Theatre of Louisville); Jeff Nomination and After Dark Award for Chicago Premiere of聽Shakespeare鈥檚 R&J聽(Chicago Shakespeare Theatre); at American Player鈥檚 Theatre:聽Julius Caesar, Timon of Athens, The Merchant of Venice, 补苍诲听Much Ado About Nothing聽(for which he received a Falstaff Award Nomination);聽The Taming of the Shrew, Richard II聽(Milwaukee Shakespeare),听Henry V聽(Delaware Theatre Company) 补苍诲听Measure for Measure聽补苍诲听Much Ado About Nothing聽(Lake Tahoe Shakespeare). Michael is a 2003 graduate of the PTTP.
