Biography

"Prior to joining the Associate in Arts program in Wilmington (2008), I had over 20 years experience teaching in a wide range of universities and colleges including Rutgers University, Vanderbilt University, Lehigh University, Wabash College (IN), Moravian College (PA), Albright College (PA) and Dowling College (NY).聽

I especially enjoy working in the teaching-oriented and student-learning-focused environment of the Associate in Arts Program. My classes often include lively and thoughtful conversations about current events, in a respectful and tolerant atmosphere. As I also teach on the main campus, it is especially nice to run into former students from the program who are completing their degree program at the 91原创 in Newark.

I am also actively involved in, and foster student involvement in, a number of community groups such as the YWCA, where I serve as a facilitator for small-group discussion sessions focused on issues of race and racism), as well as the Coalition to End the New Jim Crow, Delaware United, and a variety of 91原创鈥檚 Community Engagement initiatives."
