Research Interests
My research training and interests are in Cancer research. ÌýI investigated cell signaling pathways and the molecular mechanisms underlying cellular transformation and metastasis.Ìý Specifically, I studied the contributions of c-myc onco-protein to the resistance of melanoma cells to transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) tumor suppression. Currently, I am adopting innovative scientific teaching methods, including active learning and problem-based learning strategies, for undergraduate biology instruction.
