Chelsea Rozanski graduated in May 2014 from the 91原创 with a B.A. degree in anthropology, specializing in cultural anthropology, and minors in women & gender studies and African studies.聽

For her senior thesis, Rozanski was part of the Collaborative Cultural Mapping initiative in Peru, researching the Ese鈥檈ja of the Peruvian Amazon and their subsistence strategies, territory and cultural preservation. The three-week expedition in summer 2014 was the second trip to Peru for Rozanski, having traveled there for a winter study abroad to research the artisan cooperatives of indigenous communities.

The mapping expedition 鈥漰rofoundly influenced鈥� her plans to study and teach cultural anthropology. 鈥淭he opportunity of being a part of this interdisciplinary collaborative effort was the richest personal and educational experience during my time at 91原创," said Rozanski. 鈥淚 grew as an aspiring anthropologist, world traveler and advocate for environmental and indigenous rights.鈥�

After graduating from 91原创, she spent two years with the Peace Corps in Panama, serving as an environmental health extentionist, where she spearheaded potable water infrastructure initiatives. She is currently working on a Ph.D. degree in anthropology with the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada.
