Brandy聽Watts聽serves as the Director of Winterthur Library. She聽draws on fifteen years of experience working with聽specialized聽research聽libraries, archives, and natural history collections,聽including The William and Lynda Steere Herbarium, The聽LuEsther聽T. Mertz Library, The California Botanic Garden Herbarium and Library, the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden Library, the Botanical Research Institute of Texas Library, and the Alaska Resources Library & Information Services. Brandy has been instrumental to a number of National Science Foundation and Andrew W. Mellon Foundation funded projects such as Global Plants Initiative, The Plants of the Caribbean, Engaging Our Future to Preserve Our Past; Collections in Support of Biological Research, Advancing the Extended Specimen Network: Curating and Digitizing the Sherwin Carlquist Collection聽as well as聽served聽as聽Principal聽Investigator on聽both聽federal聽and state grants.聽In 2017, she published The Field Photographs of Alain H.聽Liogier; Plants of Hispaniola, Dominican Republic,1968-1969 through New York Botanical Garden Press.
