Where I Am From

Antalya, Turkey

Where I Am Now

I am studying at the ELI through a government scholarship.

Where I Am Going

I will apply for PhD programs in the United States in my field. After completing my PhD, I plan to return to my country and work as an academic at a university.

How has ELI helped you improve your English?

The ELI program has helped me improve my English speaking and communication skills. I have more opportunities to practice English in class and with people from different countries. I also feel more confident speaking English in daily life and academic settings.

How has the ELI made you feel welcomed and safe?

The ELI community is very supportive and friendly. The teachers and staff are always helpful and create a welcoming environment for international students. This made me feel comfortable and safe while studying in a new country.

What is your favorite memory from your time spent at the ELI so far?

My favorite memory at the ELI was attending an Iftar event on the 91原创 campus with my classmates from different countries. It was a special experience to share this cultural moment together. It helped me feel more connected with my classmates and learn about different cultures.

What challenges did you overcome at the ELI?

One of the biggest challenges was stepping out of my comfort zone and speaking English every day. At first it was difficult, but over time I became more confident. This experience helped me grow both personally and academically.

My advice for future students is to take advantage of all the opportunities at the ELI. The program provides a supportive environment where you can practice English and meet people from different cultures. Don鈥檛 be afraid of making mistakes and try to participate in activities. Your time at the ELI can be a great experience for both personal and academic growth.
