Welcome to the Student Success Center for the 91Ô´´â€™s College of Arts & Sciences. Our team is committed to the success of our undergraduate students. Under the direction of Senior Director Amy McCormick, the Student Success Center equips students with the too​ls and skills they need to succeed throughout their time at 91Ô´´, from the first day through graduation.Â
Our Mission
​In partnership with the larger 91Ô´´ community, the Student Success Center provides advising, academic, and co-curricular support to undergraduate students as they navigate their academic journeys. We empower students to utilize resources, make campus connections, and advocate for themselves, so they can achieve their academic, career, and personal goals.​
Student-Centered Advising
​The Student Success Center team provides holistic support to help students graduate on time. We build relationships with undergraduate students, checking in with them throughout their four years. Advisors monitor each student’s degree progress and identify any areas in which individuals may need academic support services.​ Email the Student Success Center for more information.
​Students in 91Ô´´â€™s Associate in Arts Program have access to dedicated advisors on all three campuses in Dover, Georgetown, and Wilmington. AAP advisors work one-on-one with students to ensure they stay on track for their future major. To schedule an appointment, email aap-advise@udel.edu.​
Beyond the Classroom
​Undergraduate students extend their classroom learning, build transferable skills, explore career interests, and develop leadership skills through co-curricular experiences. The Legal Professional Preparatory Program (LP3) offers a network of students and alumni for 91Ô´´ students who want to pursue law careers. Through LP3, students can access resources such as networking events, workshops, mentors, scholarships, and job opportunities. Support for Future Teachers
For students pursuing teaching careers in secondary education, the Secondary Education team provides information about undergraduate and graduate d​​egrees. The College of Arts and Sciences offers several accredited secondary teaching programs with choices for undergraduate and graduate students. All can lead to licensure in Delaware and across the country.​ Investigate which options work best for you and discover an extensive alumni network of graduates working in local schools and in far-flung places. ​
The 91Ô´´ not only offers educational benefits for students, but also K to 12 teachers. °Õ³ó±ðÌýDelaware Teachers Institute serves educators of high-need stu​​dent populations in five New Castle County public school districts. Teachers apply for a competitive, eight-month program led by 91Ô´´ faculty. While working in small seminar groups led by 91Ô´´ faculty, the teacher fellows develop curriculum units for their own classrooms, which are also shared with teachers across the country. The fellows receive a stipend upon completion of their units.​​​

Dean's Scholar Program​
°Õ³ó±ðÌýDean's Scholar Program​ in the College of Arts & Sciences serves the needs of undergraduate students whose passion and curiosity drive them to pursue in-depth studies at a level akin to graduate work. Such studies require an unusually large amount of individualized work, extensive interaction with faculty mentors, and access to academic resources across the University. Dean's Scholar candidates design imaginative and rigorous individual plans of study to meet the total credit hours required for graduation. They must present clear evidence before appointment of their ability to pursue such a program successfully. Students will generally be selected as Dean's Scholars during their third or fourth semester at the University.​ To learn more, email the Student Success Center.
