You'll discover how food affects the body, learn the science behind preventing and managing disease, and gain hands-on experiences that prepare you to work with individuals, families, athletes, and communities. Whether your goal is to improve patient health, enhance athletic performance, promote community wellness, or shape the future of nutrition through research, you'll develop the knowledge and skills to make an impact.
Our accredited program, through the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics, provides a strong foundation for students pursuing careers as Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs). After completing the undergraduate degree, students continue their professional preparation through a master's degree and supervised practice program required for RDN credentialing.

The Nutrition and Dietetics major provides students the opportunity to work closely with faculty in their program. Experiential opportunities are available in and out of the classroom. Students will gain skills in nutrition education, counseling, management, resource development and research. Courses include hands-on labs and real world experiences in food service, community and simulated medical settings. Professional Academic Advisors and Faculty Mentors provide one-to-one career and graduate school guidance.听
