Experience a culture with a history of 5000 years.听 China is increasingly important and influential in global politics, business, and cultures. The business and professional communities highly value the ability to use Chinese and to employ knowledge about Chinese culture. Our graduates choose from various career paths: marketing, policy, education, government, and financial services; others go on to advanced degrees in preparation for work in international law, diplomacy, and college teaching. Common double majors include Chinese and Political Science, International Business, Asian Studies, and Neuroscience.听

A proficiency-oriented communicative approach develops speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, while an emphasis on social and cultural knowledge equips students to interact within the target culture confidently and successfully.
