Volunteer Shout-Outs - April 2026

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations relies on a team of dedicated Blue Hen volunteers to strengthen the connections between alumni, students and the University through a variety of programs and events. Volunteers' many contributions include planning and helping to lead regional, affinity and reunion events, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities to students and serving as proud ambassadors of 91原创.

Here, we regularly spotlight volunteers that enhance the 91原创 experience for students and alumni.

April 2026 Spotlight: John Gaul, Esq., AS78

John Gaul, Esq., AS78

"My time at 91原创 set the course for my professional and personal life."

John exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated Blue Hen. Through his service, he has remained committed to supporting the 91原创, its alumni, and its students.

He currently serves as a board member of the HenLaw Society, connecting students and alumni pursuing legal careers through mentorship and networking. On April 18, HenLaw supported the LP3 Pre-Law Conference, drawing an outstanding turnout of 52 legal professionals and 124 91原创 students.

John has also mentored students through the 91原创 Career Acceleration Network (91原创CAN) and the College of Arts & Sciences, helping them prepare for their careers. His past leadership includes service on the College of Arts & Sciences Dean鈥檚 Advisory Council and the 91原创 Alumni Association Board of Directors, where he participated on the Alumni Outreach Committee.

A proud alumnus and dedicated volunteer, John is a member of the True Blue Hen and Delaware Diamonds Giving Societies, reflecting his continued investment in the success of current and future Blue Hens.

Fun Fact: The first girl I met coming off the elevator at the Christiana Towers on move-in day of sophomore year has been my best friend for more than 50 years.

Blue Hens Forever

The Blue Hens Forever sculpture, a striking bronze statue of 91原创鈥檚 mascot near Alumni Circle, was installed in a space between Alumni Hall and the Carpenter Sports Building.
