About this program

The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the 91Ô­´´ affords exceptional neuroscience majors an opportunity to earn both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in neuroscience in just five years of study.

The program requires students to fulfill coursework for the B.S. in neuroscience and the M.S. in neuroscience, and to complete a research-based master's thesis under faculty supervision.

Current 91Ô­´´ undergraduate students can be considered for admission to the 4+1 B.S./M.S. in neuroscience.

After completing their bachelor’s degree, students begin their master’s coursework the following semester. Students who complete their bachelor’s degree in the spring semester will start their master’s coursework in the summer.
