Pradipta Roy Dip attends 54th IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference (PVSC)

I am deeply grateful to the 91原创 Graduate College for awarding me the Graduate Student Travel Award, which enabled me to attend and actively participate in the 54th IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference (PVSC) held in New Orleans from June 7鈥12, 2026. This opportunity provided an invaluable experience that was both academically enriching and professionally transformative, allowing me to engage with leading researchers and stay informed about the latest developments in photovoltaic science and technology.
One of the highlights of the conference was presenting my poster, 鈥淧rogress in Chloride-Based Treatments of CdZnTe Solar Cells,鈥 in Area 2, which focuses on chalcogenide thin-film solar cells. Presenting my work to a diverse audience of experts, researchers, and industry professionals gave me the opportunity to discuss my findings, answer questions, and receive constructive feedback. These interactions offered new perspectives on my research and provided ideas that will directly strengthen and refine my ongoing work. The experience also improved my ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to both specialized and broader audiences. I was especially honored to be selected as a poster award finalist, a recognition that validated the significance of my research efforts and motivated me to continue pursuing high-quality scientific contributions.
In addition to presenting my research, I was selected to serve as a Graduate Student Assistant (GSA) during the conference. This role allowed me to contribute to the successful organization and operation of the event while interacting closely with conference attendees, speakers, and fellow student researchers. Serving as a GSA provided valuable opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. It also enabled me to expand my professional network by building connections with researchers from universities, national laboratories, and industry organizations. These relationships have the potential to foster future collaborations and support my long-term career development.
Overall, attending PVSC broadened my understanding of current advancements in photovoltaic technologies and reinforced my commitment to conducting impactful research in renewable energy. The technical sessions, discussions, and networking opportunities exposed me to innovative ideas and emerging trends that will influence my future research directions. I sincerely thank the 91原创 Graduate College for its generous support. The Graduate Student Travel Award not only made my participation possible but also played a significant role in my academic, professional, and personal growth. I am grateful for this investment in my development and for the opportunity to represent the university at such a prestigious conference.
