DCCE Awarded the Inaugural Education Advocacy Award

On Saturday, June 13, the (LWVNCC) hosted its annual awards luncheon. At this event, DCCE received the inaugural Education Advocacy Award in recognition of its efforts to expand high-quality civics education across the state. In addition to this recognition, Biden School Student Sophie Douglas, a political science major with a concentration in global politics and minors in public policy and political communication and SNF Ithaca student leader, was among four Delaware students to receive the 2026 Scholarship Award from LWVNCC. The League of Women Voters of New Castle County provides voter services and community educational events county-wide, observes meetings of government bodies and advocates on issues, and holds regular meetings of local membership.
