Dr. Cimone Sylver聽(PhD '22, MPA '13) is a dedicated professional in policy, advocacy, and community engagement, focused on closing equity gaps for marginalized communities. She earned her Economics degree from Spelman College and a Master鈥檚 in Public Administration from the 91原创, where she also completed her Ph.D. in Urban Affairs and Public Policy.聽

Cimone has served as Legislative Aide to Delaware State Senator Margaret Rose Henry, Project Coordinator to US Senator Christopher Coons, and Delaware Political Director for Hillary Clinton鈥檚 2016 Primary Election. She was the Policy Director at the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League before becoming Program Manager for ChristianaCare鈥檚 Harrington Trust. Cimone is now the Manager of State Government at ChristianaCare, focusing primarily on Delaware and Maryland policy and advocacy activities.

Her race and gender-based equity research has been presented locally, nationally, and internationally. She has received numerous public service and scholarship awards. Cimone is a member of the Delaware Health Fund Advisory Commission. She was the youngest Delaware Board of Elections member and held leadership roles in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women.

Cimone enjoys spending time with her husband, Leland, their sons, LJ and Landon, and their Shih Tzu, Madden.
